At Ten Nine, being able to accurately convey the words is the baseline. We select our interpreters from their communications skills: their ability to understand background, their sensitivity to what is taking place in the room, and their ability to flexibly adapt to different situations.

Our professional coordinators serve as a bridge between the clients and the interpreters, consulting on the number of interpreters needed and the format of the interpretation, ensuring that documents are delivered, and handling preparations up to the day of the meeting.

Inquiry

Our interpretation coordinator will ask you for details about the meeting, including the date, time and place, and also topics, objectives, size and any other issues or concerns.

Quotation

Based on your information, we will propose interpreter classes and numbers and make a quotation.

Preparation

We need to receive detailed information, agendas and documents from you prior to the meeting to share them with the interpreters.

On the day of the meeting

The interpreters will meet you at the time and place requested. They may also be accompanied by the coordinator as necessary.

Each customer has their own culture or style. We, therefore, need to build a good long-term relationship. We appreciate feedback from you to improve our services. We, Ten Nine coordinators and interpreters, will continue to make every effort to meet your request.

Interpreting rate

Interpreting rate is based on the half day or full day. (No hourly rate)
For example, a half day rate is charged for a 2-hour service from 14:00 to 16:00.
- Half day: Up to 3 hours of actual work (4 hours on duty) in the morning (8:00-12:00) or afternoon (13:00-17:00)
- Full day: Up to 7 hours of actual work (8 hours on duty, including a mandatory break of 1 hour)

Interpreting rate

Half day: Up to 3 hours (4 hours on duty) in the morning or afternoon

The half-day rate and 1 hour overtime rate is charged for a duty that includes lunch break (12:00-13:00).

Full day: 7 hours of actual work (8 hours on duty including a mandatory break of 1 hour)

Overtime rate is charged for a service that exceeds 7 hours. An additional 1 hour of overtime rate is charged for a break.
