You may either send us the document by email if it is available or tell us the number of characters it contains.

What information should we provide when requesting translation?

Please provide the following information to the fullest extent possible.
- Document topic
- Purpose of use
- Volume (characters, words, pages)
- Readers
- Level of formality required (for translation into Japanese)
- Format (Word, Excel, PPT, paper)
- Language of translation
- Desired delivery date

We have an urgent translation. Can you deliver it by the end of the day?

We are able to accept same-day and next-day requests.
Please note that rush requests incur a 50% express surcharge compared to normal translation rates.

Can you handle high-volume translation requests?

Yes, we can. We will organize a project team of multiple translators to complete high-volume translations in short periods of time.

We have a very short translation. Can we ask you to do it?

For translation into English: Anything up to 250 characters is billed at 4,000 yen
For translation into Japanese: Anything up to 200 words is billed at 4,800 yen
These are our minimum charges.

How much can a single translator translate in one day?

How much a translator can do in a day depends on the topic and the degree of difficulty.
For translations into Japanese, our standard is 1,500-2,000 words per day; for translations into English, 3,000-4,000 characters.

Are you able to take care of revisions and changes?

When there are revisions to the original document, you are charged only for the translation of the changes.
While we exert every effort to maintain a high level of quality, if there are any mistakes in the delivered translation we will of course correct them free of charge. Other revisions and changes that are purely a matter of cosmetics and taste will be charged separately.

Can we request only editing and proofreading by a native speaker of the target language?

Yes, we provide editing and proofreading by a native speaker of the target language. We have a long track record in these services and can offer them with confidence.

Can you translate languages other than English?

In addition to English, we are able to deal with 26 languages: Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Taiwanese), Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Urdu, French, German, Dutch, Czech, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Russian, Hungarian, Turkish, Bulgarian, Arabic and Hebrew.

In what format will the translation be delivered?

The translation will be delivered by email. We are able to handle all standard file formats (text, MSWord/Excel/PowerPoint, PDF). For files with particularly large data volumes, delivery is made via cloud services.

Can you handle translations that include technical jargon?

We categorize our translators according to specialty and will select the optimum translator for the project. If your company has specific terminology preferences, we ask that you provide a glossary in advance to increase the precision of your translation.

Can you provide summary translations (because there is no need to translate everything)?

We do not, as a rule, provide summaries as a part of the translation process. Different individuals have different approaches to summarization and the results may not always be in line with your expectations.

Can you provide partial translations?

Yes, we can. Simply highlight the places that require translation. Please consult with us if the document needs to be studied in advance, for example, to identify differences from the previous version that require translation. We can provide those services as well.
