Translation charges are determined on the basis of a word (or character)
count of the complete translation. The number of words (or characters) in the
translation is used to compute a final page count. We will then inform you of
the translation charges based on this final page count.

How character (word) counts are performed
If the source text is a Word file, pull down the "Tools" menu and click on
"Word Count". This displays a word count, paragraph count, line count and character
count for the entire document. The character count allows you to calculate the
number of characters (excluding spaces); the word count, the number of words in the document.

Neither Excel nor PowerPoint has a word count function. Accordingly, if the source document was delivered in either of these formats, we will perform a manual count of the translation after it is delivered and inform you of the result.

As demonstrated above, the final page count is determined on the basis of a word (or character) count of the completed translation. You are asked to remember that the page count for the source document (paper-based) and the final page count will not necessarily agree.
How we calculate our translation charges
The piece rate varies according to the language combination. We estimate the final page count when we receive your order and will give you a quotation. Please feel free to consult your Coordinator if you would prefer to receive a quotation based on the source text as opposed to the translation.
If you need your translation on the day of order or the next day, you will
be charged an additional 50-percent over our regular rates.
DTP rates
If your requirement includes document layout on top of translation, you will
be charged separately for this work.
